A symbol of good luck and abundance in Inca culture, Peruvians always carry the Huayruro seed somewhere on their body. This multi-strand handcrafted necklace is the perfect gift for someone who is moving on to a new chapter in their life. The silver beads create a striking contrast to the overall organic feel of the necklace. A truly unique piece of South American jewelry, mix and match this necklace with some of our other Huayruro seed pieces for double the luck!

Huayruro and Sterling Silver Necklace

Sterling silver beads sparkle in a cluster of red and black Huayruro seeds on a multi-strand necklace.

We make it a point when we travel in Peru to find artisans working with native and natural materials as well as time-honored fine craft traditions. Collected from the jungle floor in the Amazon regions of Peru, these seeds are featured in several Tikanchay pieces so you can mix and match them.

Peruvians have believed for centuries that the red and black of these visually striking seeds symbolize their power to both ward off negative energy and attract good fortune.

Five strands of black waxed cotton are 16” long with a sterling silver hook-and-eye clasp.
Huayruro seeds range from ½” to 1/8” in diameter.
